Objectives of the Organisation

The St Albans and District Foodbank's prime objective is the prevention or relief of poverty in the local area. We seek to achieve this via the provision of emergency food supplies to individuals in need.

We are a small charity which started operations in 2014. In that time we have expanded our operations very considerably and in the year to 31st March 2022 we provided over 9,100 food parcels and other help to people throughout the St Albans District including Harpenden.

Volunteers Required

Roles:

We are currently seeking volunteer van drivers/drivers mates  to support our operations by joining rotas to help with the collection of donations and the transport of food parcels to our distribution centres on Fridays and Saturdays.

We are also looking for a number of people to join a rota of team leaders running a new distribution centre in St Albans on Saturday afternoons from mid-April 2023.
