Luton Hoo Walled Garden

Objectives of the Organisation

At the heart of the Luton Hoo Estate on the outskirts of Harpenden is the stunning Walled Garden, now the setting of a vibrant Volunteer Project. The Project began over 24 years ago and has grown to have over a hundred volunteers; from gardening to conservation, research to talks, oral history to group walks.  Volunteers gather weekly on Wednesdays and/or Fridays and open the garden to the public on Wednesdays from May to September.  This unique Capability Brown Walled Garden and attached historic service buildings continue to be revealed, restored and reimagined and there is always something new to become involved with.

Volunteers Required

We are always seeking to increase our numbers.  Please contact us to arrange an informal visit to find out the ways that you may be able to join this diverse and active project.
