The "Harpenden Hopper” is a Community Bus service that focuses on areas of Harpenden that have limited coverage from existing bus services. It operates three days a week ( Tues - Thurs, 9.30am -4.30pm). It is a "Hop on Hop off - Hail and Ride” service running on a published route and timetable. It is being run by a charity, Harpenden Connect, founded by a number of Harpenden Residents
We are looking for volunteer drivers who will help with this exciting project, the commitment could be for a particular day or days of the week or a part of those days. the successful applicants will need a full clean license with category D. Training will be given.
Also, we have two specific vacancies:
Fund Raising: we have a vacancy for someone to help/organise fund raising for the charity
Public Relations: we have a vacancy for someone to look after the charity's PR and to help with the communications with other relevant organisations in the Town, keeping them up to date on the route and cancellations etc.
